What is Camp Berea?

Camp Berea is a non-profit, non-denominational, Christian Camp. It is owned by the Berean Youth Fellowship Inc., a group formed for the purpose of providing a Christian Camp in Western Maine. Camp Berea is managed by a Board of Directors. Its teen program is run by Ira Hall, the current Director. Camp offers an exclusively teen ministry with summer camp, and retreats during the school year.

Where is Camp Berea?

From the South (Portland, Auburn, and pts south)
Take I-95 North to the Auburn Exit (exit 12) or follow Rt 4&202 North. Stay on Route 4 through Auburn and into Turner. Continue on Route 4 to the junction with Rt. 219 (blinking yellow light). Turn left onto Rt. 219 and proceed one-half mile. Camp is on the right.

From the North (Farmington area)

Take Rt 4 (or 133) South to Livermore Falls. Follow Rt. 4 South to the junction with Rt. 219 (flashing yellow light) in North Turner. Turn right onto Rt. 219. Camp is one half mile of the right.

(from Rumford area) Follow Rt. 108 South to Livermore, turning right onto Rt. 4. Follow Rt. 4 South to Rt. 219. Turn right on 219, Camp half mile on right.

From the East (Augusta, pts north on Turnpike)

Take Rt. 202 South out of Augusta toward Winthrop. In Winthrop, take Rt. 133 North into Wayne. Just past Wayne, turn left onto Rt. 219 West. Follow Rt. 219 to the junction with Rt. 4 in North Turner (flashing red light). Stay on Rt. 219. Camp is one-half mile beyond Rt. 4 on the right.

Who Can Come to Camp Berea

Camp Berea is open to all teenagers, age 13-17. Campers 12 years old that are in the seventh grade are also admitted if it is felt they are ready to handle a teen environment. 18 year olds who have just graduated from high school may come for one last summer. There are no special teen weeks. Every week is teen week at Camp Berea.

For Sports Camp, no previous playing experience is required. All that is needed is a desire to participate and learn!
